My Inspiration!

My Inspiration! This is my daughter, Jaylee, with her Kindergarten teacher. In October I started volunteering in her classroom once a week. It didn’t take long for all the students in that class to touch my heart. When I heard there was a need for supplies for the students and for the teacher I wanted to do whatever I could to help out. What started out as me just wanting to help Jaylee’s teacher and her class turned into a not-for-profit ministry almost overnight. I can’t believe what God has done with this ministry in such a short time! I really was inspired by Jaylee’s kindergarten class and I am forever grateful for their inspiration and that God chose me to do this ministry!

Supply Drive SUCCESS!

With the help of 9 churches, 2 partnering organizations, over 20 volunteers, and literally 100’s of people donating items we pulled off our 1st supply drive!!! We collected over 49 different types of supplies with a total of 2486 items donated! WE DID IT! We came together as a community, as followers of Jesus to be the lifeline to our local elementary schools. I am completely overwhelmed at how amazing this 1st supply drive turned out. What started out as me simply wanting to help out my daughters class has grown bigger than I could have ever imagined. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through S.O.S. next!

February will begin our 2nd supply drive. If you would still like to make a donation you can drop off supplies to the Decatur Church of Christ all month long in February.

Serving Our Schools


Serving our Schools, Inc. is a not for profit organization serving students and teachers in the North Adams Community School District.  We are currently serving in the two elementary school with students ranging from Pre-K to 4th grade.  Our current main focus is to get the needed school supplies to teachers and students so that every child has a fair chance to get the most out of their education.  We hope to soon expand into five different ministry with a Christ centered focus.  Along with the school supply drives we plan to spend time praying for teachers and students, help them with personal needs, such as eye glasses, so no child with be hindered in their education.  We also hope to eventually implement a mentoring program with local churches.  We believe that if we duplicate this program in every community we can reach the world for Christ one student at a time.  Join us as we pray for leaders to rise up in each community to take Serving Our Schools to teachers and students in their community.

All this is made possible with the partnership of the local church.  We want to be a place where churches become the lifeline to schools.
